Rajeev has been with the Group for over two decades. As Managing Director of BILT, he drives the implementation of the company’s overall business strategy, and is responsible for the top line and bottom line volume and growth. He is also the key driver of new technology and quality initiatives aimed at taking BILT towards leadership position in the South Asian region.

He orchestrated BILT’s spectacular turnaround in the mid-1990s, and led the first ever overseas acquisition in the Indian paper industry, when BILT acquired Sabah Forest Industries, Malaysia’s largest pulp and paper company.

Rajeev obtained his Bachelor of Technology in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, and a Master of Sciences in chemical engineering from the University of Aston, in Birmingham, U.K.

Rajeev is also Chairman of Solaris Chemtech Industries Limited, Chairman of BILT Industrial Packaging Company Limited, and a key member of the Avantha Management Board.

He sits on the boards of various companies, including BILT Tree Tech Limited, The Paperbase Company Limited, BILT Graphic Paper Products Limited, Ballarpur International Holdings B.V., Ballarpur International Paper Holdings B.V., Ballarpur International Graphic Paper Holdings B.V., Sabah Forest Industries Sdn. Bhd., and Imerys NewQuest (India) Private Limited.

Rajeev plays golf and likes to watch a good game of cricket. He is married to Neelam, and they have a daughter.
